The Trabuco Hills High School Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit is the 18th Annual Western Band Association Marching Band Championships Class AAAA runner-up in 2007. The Marching Unit is under the direction of Dr. Howard Stephens and Russell Moreau, with assitance from Quincy Nguyen (Visual Caption Head), Robert Bowen (Percussion Caption Head), Don Gallaher (Color Guard Caption Head), Charlie Groh, Myles Yates, Rudy Arzaga, Edgar Santana, Jenny Manio and Jason Pasqual.

     Here is a list historical repertoires of the Marching Unit since 1992, the first year that Dr. Howard Stephens was director of the music program. Also available are the major accomplishments by the Marching Unit, which is located in the Trabuco Hills High School Instrumental Music Program Resume: 1992-2009.

     In the Fall of 2008, the Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit will once again compete in Class AAAA of the Western Band Association (WBA) circuit and the Onyx Class in the Marching Band Open Series (MBOS) sponsored by the Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC).

     The title of the Fall 2008 show is Of Legend and Lore. This year's musical selection include In The Spring, At The Time When Kings Go Off To War and Liturgical Dances by David Holsinger.

     Rehearsals are typically Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:15pm until 5:30pm thru October. After October, rehearsals are typically Tuesday from 3:15pm until 5:30pm and Thursdays from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. As in the past years, this will be a very exciting year for both the students and the staff. Come out and support the students at all of their exhibition and competitive performances listed below ~ you will not be disappointed!!!
