To the Wonderful TITH Volunteers ~

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing that we can say which would express our enormous appreciation for all of the TITH Volunteers - Current Music Boosters, their family and friends, Alumni Music Boosters and Alumni Students - who helped out last Saturday at the 17th Annual Tournament in the Hills.  Volunteers started showing up at 5:00am and some did not leave until 1:30am!  What a tremendous amount of dedication and support!  As others have expressed, I also received many nice compliments from visiting parents and staff throughout the day on how well-run our tournament was this year, and every year, and that’s the reason why they always want to come back.  Even thought this was the first year with the new setup, the tournament ran like clockwork and we were very happy!  The weather was PERFECT and the tournament was a COMPLETE success!  This could only happen because of all the hard work and dedication from each and every one of you!!!  THANK YOU!!!  THANK YOU!!!  THANK YOU!!!

Here is a quick recap of the tournament:

1. Over 250 TITH Volunteers

2. Over 300 happy & stuffed Staff Members at Hospitality

3. Nearly 3200 performers

4. Nearly 3000 paid spectators

5. Over 160 busses and vehicles tightly parked into our lots

6. In-N-Out nearly sold out of food

7. Concession Stands sold out of food

8. Vendor Booth sales was good

9. Baked Goods COMPLETELY SOLD OUT and brought in record revenue

10. Programs sales were good

11. Parking Structure brought in record revenue (of course, since this is the first year)

Thank you for loaning us your personal belongings for use at TITH.  If you have not picked up your belongings, they are available in the music room in the corner near the water/soda.  If it’s not there, some items are located in the booster bin.  If you mistakenly picked up someone else’s belonging, please return it to the music room so that it can be returned to its rightful owner.

For those of you who were working so hard and may have forgotten to get a program, I’ll have them with me this week.  Just let me know that you want one.

This is a first-class organization and we are very proud to be a part of such a wonder group of people!!!  This is one of the best TITH in recent years and possible one of the best ever. 

We had a very successful tournament, but the ride for the fall is not over yet.  We’ll see many of you tomorrow night at the 33rd Annual Westminster Field Show and also this weekend at the 2009 WBA Marching Band Championships in Clovis, California.
